Blog Game!

Erin tagged me in a fun little game last week!
I love getting to know people, so I'm always up for question games!
Here goes:

* Post these rules
* Answer the 10 questions that the tagger posted for you
* Create 10 questions of your own to ask the people that you're about to tag
* Tag 10 people and link them with your post (and let them know they've been tagged!)

Here's the questions Erin asked me:

1. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod?
I have a tie for first.
"Girl" by Jim Sturgess from the Across the Universe soundtrack
and
"Dog Days Are Over" by Pentatonix from the show The Sing-Off

2. What is your favorite book?
Oh goodness, that's a hard one. I read so much, it's impossible to pick a favorite.
But I love Sophie Kinsella/Madeline Wickham books, the Harry Potter series and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

3. What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I like beachy areas, but I don't like the beach. So, if I could go to a small, beachy town and lay by a pool, it would be perfect!

4. If you weren't working (or studying) in your current field, what would you be doing?
Um, I've always wanted to be a math teacher, so this one is kind of hard. But I guess be a nanny full-time.

5. List five blogs you like to read!

6. What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?
Read books, knit and crochet, hang out with friends

7. If you could only shop at one store for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?
Target.
They have everything, so it's only logical.

8. What is your favorite dessert?
Chocolate cake with white icing.
And chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles.

9. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have three things with you, what would they be and why?
Brice- he's my other half, so of course I'd take him with me.
An unlimited supply of Chick-fil-A sweet tea- I can't live without it.
My knitting stuff- If I was trapped on an island, I'd need something to do.

10. What is the last concert you attended?
Yellowcard.
Read more here.

I tag all of you reading this!
Answer the questions Erin asked me!
And after you play along, leave me a comment with the link so I can read more about you!
Happy Answering!

Almost a Senior!

Here's a very random, scattered post for your enjoyment today:

This semester is almost over!! I am so ecstatic about that!! I'm actually already done with two classes, and made A's in both of them! I finished another one yesterday, and I'm almost positive I made an A in that one too. fingers crossed. Other than that, only 1 paper and 1 final stand between me and the end of the semester. Or, more importantly, between me and being a senior! I can't believe college has flown by so quickly! With a lot of hard work and effort, I'll be done in a year!!

Yesterday, I posted this picture to twitter and instagram in regards to which shoes I should buy:

These were the answers to my questions:

And this afternoon, I went about bought these beauties:

Also, yesterday, I found out I was the winner of a pair of custom embroidered toms courtesy of Blair and Free Range Chick! This will be my first pair of toms, so I'm super excited! And even more so that I get to design them myself!! I will definitely blog about them when they arrive! I can't wait!

Lastly, I was tagged in a question game by Erin, so look for that soon!

Impromptu Roadtrips

Yesterday, we had a little bit of a snafu with the suits the guys are going to be wearing in our wedding. They're going to be wearing gray pants and vests from JCPenney.

This one to be exact.

Well, little did we know, the backs of the vests came in two different colors. This is not helpful when all the guys need to look the same.

Upon further investigation, we realized that sizes Small and X-Large came in bronze backs and Mediums and Larges came in silver backs. I much preferred the silver, since it was close to the gray of the suit.

Well, gosh darn it, I called almost every JCPenney in the state of Georgia to see if they had 3 Small vests with silver backs. We located one about 40 minutes north of us.

So, into the car we went. We drove 40 minutes and managed to get one small  vest with a silver back, pants in my brother's size, and one tie. So, then we went to another JCPenney about 20 minutes northwest of there and found Brice's pants and a medium vest for one of the guys.

We're still on the hunt for two smalls though...I told Brice, if worst comes to worst, I have blog friends all over and we could get them to check their Penneys for us!

Luckily we've still got 8 months til the wedding, so we've got time to get it all sorted. We're just glad we discovered this problem now and not 3 weeks before the wedding!

Princesses, Pirates, and Bearstock

Last Saturday started with Blake's birthday party.
Her theme was Princess & Pirates.
We were instructed to dress up as our favorite!

So of course, I busted out the old prom dress and went as a princess. Duh.
Tucker went as a pirate.

Jessica was a pirate too. And the glare on my glasses was really bad, apparently...

Me and the birthday girl!
She was Cinderella.

I painted faces for all the princesses. They all had fancy, sparkly face paint.

Then, after the party, we went to Bearstock.
One of the colleges in town (whose mascot is a bear) hosts an all day music festival called Bearstock.
During the day, a bunch of local bands play, and then they bring in two headliners for the last few hours.

This year, the headliners were Far East Movement and Yellowcard!
I was SUPER pumped about Yellowcard!!
We finally got to see them live!

Sorry for my crappy phone pictures. It was hard to take a good picture in the massive crowd.

Yellowcard was amazing.

I got fallen on by a crowd surfer.
I'm pretty sure I couldn't have held him up anyways, so down he went.
And kicked my collar bone on the way down.
And I have the bruise and swelling to prove it.

My princess crown also got destroyed in the falling crowd surfer debacle.
I was really sad...Someone crushed it...
Although I'd rather it be my crown than collar bone that got destroyed...

Overall, it was a super fun weekend!
I got to hang out with friends I hadn't seen in a while, and make new friends!

But now, it's back to homework and studying...blech.

Doppelgängers

One of my bloggy favorites, Raven is hosting an awesome link-up today!
She had the genius idea for us to link up our celebrity doppelgangers.

Of course, I had no clue who my doppelganger was.
People have told me Sarah Palin, but I wanted someone more trendy, of course.

I immediately download several apps to my phone that were supposed to give me a match.
All of them were epic fails.
Let's take a look-see...

ummmm, nope.

Men? I think not.

I can maybe see Michelle Trachtenburg...if I squint real hard...
Christina Ricci again? Still nope.

Then I headed to the websites.
These weren't much help either.
HAHAHAHAH. Heidi Klum...YEAH RIGHT!

Princess Di? More Men?

Um, I'm not seeing the resemblance here...

Don't see this one either.

Natalie Portman? I wish!

Men. Men. Men. Dang it. I DO NOT LOOK LIKE ELTON JOHN!
Please excuse my mean mug in the picture above. It said not to smile.

Men. This hurts my heart.

Then, for kicks and giggles, I tried to do one with my glasses off to see if that would help my looking-like-a-man issue. Please excuse my mean mug once again...
Criss Angel? Bahahah. The Rock? BAHAHAH.

I wish I looked like Ashley Olsen.
Oh yes, lets compare me to Emma Watson when she was not so attractive.
And Chelsea Clinton? Ugh.

Luckily sweet Ravie came to the rescue.
Finally some results I can agree with!

I LOVE MILEY CYRUS!
I so want to be her one day.
Therefore, I am claiming her as my doppelganger.
For now and forever more.

So, what do you think?
Am I a Miley? Or do I have another doppelganger you think is better?
Leave a comment and let me know!

And go link up and show us who your doppelganger is!

What a Day.

Today started out as any other day. I got up and  started getting ready by straightening my hair. I haven't done this in a while, and I was surprised at how long my hair had gotten!

I finished getting ready, got my bookbag together, set the alarm and off I went to school.

I was in the middle of my second class and Mama called. I didn't answer and minutes later I get this text:

Whoops.

I had forgotten that Tucker was on spring break and set the alarm to Away. The poor kid. He had just woken up to go answer the phone and the alarm started going off on him.

So, when I got home, I took him to Dairy Queen to make up for it.

It seemed like quite an eventful day.

And because I'm cute, here's a younger me.

Not Ready For Goodbye

The One Tree Hill series finale is tonight...and I'm not ready for it to end! I know it's just a tv show, but I feel emotionally invested in it, so I feel like I'll be losing a best friend at the end of tonight. I'm just not ready to say goodbye.

Anyways, in the OTH spirit, I found a little One Tree Hill 30 day challenge on Pinterest, but I'm just going to do it all in this blog post, bullet style. but if you haven't seen it, or are watching it now, I may spoil, so you're free to skip it.

  1. Favorite Male Character: Nathan. Why? James Lafferty is hot. Duh. But I also admire the man Nathan became. Far from the jerk he once was.
  2. Favorite Female Character: Haley. Not just because she goes with Nathan, but because she pours her heart and soul into everything: her family, friends, music, the cafe.
  3. Favorite Couple: Well, this one should be obvious. Nathan and Haley. Double Duh. LOVE them. And their precious family.
  4. Favorite friendship: Brook and Peyton. They went through everything together. And even though they had rough patches, they still stuck together in the end.
  5. Favorite Actor: We've been over this--James Lafferty. Although, Rob Buckley and Austin Nichols run close behind...
  6. Favorite Actress: Bethany Joy Lenz. But I also love Sophia Bush.
  7. Favorite Cast Friendship: James Lafferty and Rob Buckley. Their twitter conversations? Hilarious.
  8. Favorite Secondary Character: Quentin. He was becoming such an amazing person. I'm still upset at the fact that he was killed.
  9. Favorite Season: ummm...All of them?
  10. Favorite Episode: I have lots. But I especially love the flashback to the forties episode where Haley sings at the cafe and meet Nathan.
  11. Favorite Quote: I like the one about the ravens that Lucas says in one of the season 2 episodes...don't know it word for word...something about a raven alone symbolizes luck but a flock of ravens signifies trouble...
  12. Favorite CODA: probably the Lucas and Peyton disappearance in the season 6 finale.
  13. Favorite Song played on OTH: "Mrs. Scott" from the forties episode. Sung by BJL.
  14. Least Favorite Male Character: Dan Scott. This needs no explanation.
  15. Least favorite Female Character: Nanny Carrie. Cah-razy. or The wack job who thinks she's Clay's dead wife.
  16. Least favorite Couple: Brooke and Felix. He was weird.
  17. Least favorite friendship: Millie and Alex. That was hazardous to Millie's health.
  18. Least favorite Actor: I don't really have one.
  19. Least favorite actress: Don't really have one of these either.
  20. Least favorite couple: apparently this question is here twice. And my answer remains Brooke and Felix.
  21. Least favorite secondary character: Xavier. Psycho. hate him.
  22. Least favorite season: The bad hair season. You know the one. Bad hair all around.
  23. Least favorite episode: school shooting. too traumatic. and stressful.
  24. Least favorite quote: all quotes are good...
  25. Best acting performance from Sophia Bush: the episode where she gets attacked by Xavier in Clothes over Bros.
  26. Best acting performance from Hilarie Burton: the episode where they think they've found her dad's body and she has to identify it.
  27. Best acting performance from Bethany Joy Galeotti: the episode where her mom dies. So realistic.
  28. Best acting performance from Chad Michael Murray: when he dribbles the ball across the bridge in the opening credits...haha, he's not my favorite...
  29. Best acting performance from James Lafferty: the episode where Dan dies. So dang sad. And he was so good in that episode.
  30. All-time favorite One Tree Hill scene: Any scene with James Lafferty...or...The scene from where he and Haley re-unite after his kidnapping.
Love these two lovebirds.

Original Cast. Such babies here.

The recent cast.

Need an example of the bad hair? Let's take a look...
Bad on more than one person...yikes.

Do you watch One Tree Hill?
What will you miss the most?
