Round 2

Back in November, Brice and I tried to adopt a schnauzer/terrier mix puppy. You can read about it here and here. But, long story short: I'm extremely allergic to dogs, and Leo ended up making me sick.

Nevertheless, Brice and I continued our search for a hypoallergenic dog that we could adopt. And this past weekend, we finally found one!

I had been searching day and night on petfinder.com to find a dog that we'd be able to adopt.

And this one is just precious.

She's a toy poodle, so she's hypoallergenic. She's housebroken, and just the sweetest little dog you can imagine.

We already love her to death!

We've named her Maggie. The people we got her from had been calling her Peaches, and that just wasn't working for us...

My grandparents have a miniature poodle, but Maggie is a good bit smaller than Champ, so we're thinking she's a toy poodle instead of a miniature. But she's the perfect size to me!

Isn't she precious?!?

She climbed from my lap to Brice's so she could help him drive.

She's missing her bottom two middle teeth, and she has a bit of an under-bite, but we think it gives her character!

She slept like this for the entire 30 minute drive home.

We gave her a bath and then blow dried and brushed her, and she love every minute of it!

And then she snuggled with me on the couch all afternoon.

She looks bigger in pictures than she actually is. But she is just precious!

She likes to sleep in your lap.

She and Zoey checked each other out. They sniffed each other, and Zoey decided she wasn't so sure.

So, Zoey sat up under my chin like this for a few minutes to decide what she thought about the dog.

We are so excited we finally found a dog we can have. I SO wanted to bring every little dog home that was at the adoption event this past weekend. And if I wasn't allergic to them all, I would have.

But we knew the right dog for us would come along, and she did!
