New Years Eve

New Years Eve started out fairly normal. I had to babysit my kids for a couple of hours that morning. 

After that, I headed to Brice's. We were headed up to Tanger Outlet mall to find some boots I had wanted.

Of course, they didn't have them at the store. So, I ended up having to order online.

After that, we went a few more places on the way back to Macon.

Once we got back, we went to see the movie New Years Eve.

It was cute, noting phenomenal.

We ended up sitting with my best friend's mom cause the theater was so packed.

Headed to Buffalo's for dinner.

I didn't eat much because I had loaded up on popcorn and gummy bears at the movie.

After dinner, we went to Walmart.

I had some coupons that expired that day and I wanted to use them before they expired.

So, we bought two frozen food items and only paid 17 cents.

Just sales tax.

That's how I roll.

So, we headed back to Brice's apartment to wait for midnight.

It was only like 7:30 when we got back.

Naturally, I fell asleep waiting on the couch.

He woke me up around 11:45 so we could watch the ball drop on TV.

So, we're sitting there waiting for the ball to drop, and they start the countdown.

Brice starts saying, "I'm sorry. You're not going to be able to sleep tonight."
Which didn't make any sense. And he kept repeating that statement.

Which frustrated me because he wouldn't explain himself!

With like, 3 seconds to go, (he timed it just perfectly)

he says, 

"You're not going to be able to sleep tonight,

because I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Will you marry me?"

In which I was completely shocked! I was NOT expecting it!

I said "Are you serious?!?"

And he said yes.

So I said yes.

He picks on me about how I asked if he was serious.

But we had talked a couple of weeks ago about when we would get married, and he kept saying he wasn't ready yet.

So I wanted to make sure I hadn't pressured him into anything.

And he said he had already had the ring for several weeks before we talked about all that.

He was just throwing me off.

Sneaky.

He did SO good! It's better than what I had always imagined!

I get to spend the rest of my life with this handsome fella and I couldn't be happier!

We're planning on getting married in December this year.

It was the only time that I would be on a break from school and not have to miss anything for a honeymoon.

He had always said before this, that he wanted to wait until I graduated. 

But after December, all I'll have left is a semester of student teaching.

So I won't be taking any actual classes.

We've got a full year of wedding planning ahead of us,

and it's already begun!

I'll probably write of some wedding plans on the good old blog,

but I don't want to give too many secrets away!
