Busy Bee

I feel like I have been such a bad blogger recently. I have been crazy busy. This week alone I've had 4 test. Two of those were in the same class and three of them were take home. I feel like my brain is going to explode. It's been nothing but math for the last week and a half.

I've been making sure I've gotten all the right answers on the homework and review questions when really all I want to do is this:

Anyways, moving on. Whats new in my life? Not much. Same old, same old. Except that I'm loving my new iPhone. And playing with Siri is the best. Yes I have conversations with the personal assistant in my iPhone. Don't judge me. Still on the hunt for a cute case. That's my mission for this weekend.

Caught Up

I'm finally caught up with the rest of the world! I no longer have the ancient LG Voyager. I'm now sporting a brand spankin' new iPhone 4s! I was so excited when this little beauty showed up in the mail!

Here goes!

yay!

What a beauty!

For now, I'm using a friend's old case on loan until I pick out a cute case of my own. So if any of you iPhoners know where I can get a cute case, let me know! Or if you know of any good apps I need, tell me those too.

And in honor of breaking in the iPhone camera, here's some of the first few pictures I've taken. And now I can finally link up with Savanah for Fun with our Phones Monday, since I actually have a decent camera on my phone! :)

Working on a horrid History of Math project.

This is what Tucker wanted to do with my leftover birthday cake.
This was totally his idea.
We only supported his decision.

What?

I was just looking at some of my stats, and some one has found my blog by googling "awkward puberty mullet." Wait, not one person, but FOUR. Four times has this been googled and then they came to my blog. And I wasn't sure exactly why. So, I googled it myself. And my blog post was the THIRD result!! Number one, why are people googling this? And number two, why did my post come up that quickly?!?

The post that came up was my one about going to see the Lion King. One of my favorite scenes is during Hakuna Matata when he changes from a cub to a full grown lion. But he has this awkward puberty stage in between those two. And he rocks a mullet. See:

and that wasn't even the picture in the original blog post.

And I'm not quite sure what these googlers were hoping to find, but I'm sure they were highly disappointed. So, googlers, if you're reading, please leave a comment letting me know why you were googling this and if you found my blog helpful.

Birthday Weekend Recap

I had such a great weekend filled with birthday festivities! Friday night (my actual birthday), Brice came up to the house, and we had dinner with Mama, Daddy and Tucker. Then we went and played putt-putt. It was pretty fun!

The yummy cake Mama made!

Then Saturday, we headed to Perry for the GA National Fair. We walked around, rode some rides, and then that night, Mama and I went to the Blake Shelton concert!

This is my favorite ride ever.

Can someone please explain this? Deep fried Kool-Aid?

This ride is a close second...

Daddy had to go down the slide at the end of the fun house.

 Holding a baby chick!

 Oh, Blake.

 His concert was really good!

 Love me some Blake Shelton

The Ferris wheel all lit up as we were leaving.

I also racked up on some pretty good birthday gifts!
My sweet boss went through so much trouble to find me this bookbag!

Lorin painted me this chandelier to go in my room!

And she also got me this giraffe whisk. Ballin'.

New TV and movies from Brice, Emily, and Tucker.

And my iPhone will be here Friday! I can't wait!!

This also means that my project365 is officially over!
I've blogged a picture a day every day for a year!

At times, it was challenging, but I'm really glad I did it!

This happened to me in class last night...the whole class sang to me, and I sat there awkwardly.

I can't wait for all the birthday festivities!
We're going to see Blake Shelton tomorrow night!
And next Friday, I'll be getting my birthday iPhone!
And yesterday, I got the best voicemail ever. My friend's grandma called to tell me happy birthday, and it was awesome.
It went a little something like this:
"Hey, Say-ruh. This is MaMa (sidenote: pronounced Maw-Maw)
Lorin's MaMa.
If I have it written down correctly, tomorrow is your birthday.
And you will no longer be a teenager. You'll be 20.
So Happy Birthday Say-ruh!"
It was awesome.

Day 364: Shoes

Please excuse my awful toes, but let's talk about this picture...

Yes, these are cute shoes.
They're Steve Madden,
so they were relatively expensive.
But that little strap that goes across my foot (the not flowered one),
it cuts off the circulation in my foot.
And I was hoping that it would stretch out after a few wears...
No suck luck. :(
And you can clearly see that my left foot is smaller than my right foot. But I promise it's not that noticeable in real life.
It's only slightly smaller...

Day 363: Birthday/Moving Cupcakes

Jessica brought cupcakes to our small group tonight!
Why?
Because my birthday is FRIDAYYYYY!!!!
And because Laura is moving to New York next week, so it was goodbye celebration.

But I'm so excited because Saturday, we're going to see Blake Shelton!
And Friday I'm pre-ordering the new iPhone 4S!
I'm so ready to trade in my LG Voyager (basic, brick phone. good for nothing) and finally get some new technology!

Day 362: Sophie Kinsella

If you have never read anything by Sophie Kinsella, I highly recommend that you fix this, pronto. She is the funniest writer ever! She has several stand alone titles, as well as the whole Confessions of a Shopaholic series. I'm currently reading the latest in that series.

She also writes under the name Madeline Wickham. I have several of these books in my possession, but haven't read them yet.

Y'all, seriously, I can't put these books down until I finish them. You never know what's going to come next in her hilarious story lines.

So, please, do yourself a favor, and start reading these books!

Day 361: UGH.

Have you ever had a professor that you really love? And think their class is awesome? But sometimes, said professor is a little scatter brained and it gets on your nerves a little bit.

And then sometimes, said professor tells you not to buy the book in the syllabus at the beginning of the year because they would let you know when you needed to get it. They tell you a couple of days before you need the book. And then they get mad when you can't buy the book over a weekend because it's ridiculously obscure. So when you email them asking if it's okay if your assignment is a tad late, they reply, "Well, it was in the syllabus."

I was highly irritated this weekend. All over this little (expensive) book.

Day 360: Annual Museum Trip!

Every year, I take Taylor to the Museum of Arts and Sciences. And today was Annual Museum Day! They had a special exhibit about animals with tusks right now. So we saw some giant tusks and teeth!

Then we went to the Planetarium show, and watched their space show. And we decided that we liked last year's planetarium show better.

After that, we headed over to the Live Animal show! We saw a Macaw, a Blue-tongued Skink, a Chinchilla, a Tarantula, and Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. We got to pet all but the Macaw and the Tarantula. Taylor and I wanted to see the chinchilla so we could go back and tell Brice about it. We decided we like Zoey better than the one at the museum. I think we're a little biased :)

We also went to the gift shop so Taylor could pick out some rocks to take to show and tell at school. We got some Pyrite (Fool's Gold), Amethyst, Quartz, and Bloodstone. She can't wait to tell her class about them!

And last but not least, we headed outside to the old caboose so we could take our traditional picture.

She's so stinkin' cute!

Day 359: Blate!

Something exciting finally happened worth blogging about!!! I had my first ever blate! (blogger + date)

Brice and I were headed to Atlanta for some shopping, so we met sweet Ashley for lunch! Y'all, she is the sweetest person ever! We had a great little lunch!

And then I got lots of shopping goodies! Then, Brice and I headed to McDonough to meet Mama and Daddy so I could pick out a new mattress! Mama and Daddy recently got a Tempurpedic bed, and they love it. Well, I don't. So they were trying to talk me into getting one of those. I politely declined. I want a bed I can just sink down into, like a great big giant fluffy pillow. So that's precisely what I got. My new wonderful mattress will be here Tuesday, and I can't wait!

After we picked out my mattress, we went to meet Mallory and her parents for dinner. It was so good to see them and catch up! But we missed you, Leslie!
