Day 297: Addicted.

When this show came out, Mama and I started watching it together. No matter how cheesy and badly acted it is, we watched it. But this past season, we've just been so busy that we haven't had time to watch it. Hence, the 20 episodes of it on our DVR. So today, we started watching. We currently are on episode 4. We were going to stop after 3, but then we watched the preview for the next one and welllll....you know what happens next...

[Edit 10:23PM: Going strong on number 5.]

Day 296: Bracelet Swap!

A while back, I joined a Bloggy Bracelet Swap. I'm just a horrible blogger and haven't written about it til now... sorry.

Anyways...I was paired up with Dani and Kelly! Go check out these lovely ladies! You'll be glad you did!

Now, on to the bling:

Dani gave me these gorgeous bracelets! The one farthest right, she gave one to her other swap partner and she has one too! Yay for adult friendship bracelets!! LOVE IT! (p.s. go check out her blog and gush about how cute little Makena is!)

And Kelly gave me this lovely bracelet! I'm loving the colors in it! I'm all about some teal and green. So go check out Kelly and her precious blog!

Day 295: Kickin' it old school.

We took the kids roller skating! It reminded me and Emily of when we were little. I literally haven't been skating since I was in like 3rd grade. But it was so much fun!

Emma was being a goober every time I tried to take a picture.

 My cool socks!!

Day 293: Luau

Monday night, some of our close family friend's daughter had her 5th birthday party. I helped her mom do the cupcakes for her luau themed party. Check it.

Rennata made each bear with a different swimsuit.

Then she made me and Brice. She put him in a speedo and me in my monokini. Hysterical.

Day 292: Hair Hair Hair.

I know yesterday was about hair too. Oh well. Emma went and got her hair cut yesterday after we experimented with the bow. And it is SO CUTE!!!

She went from this:

To This (be prepared to say "Whoa!"):

She looks SO grown up!! I can't get over it! She has wanted side bangs for a year. No lie. So now she's in Heaven.

She just told me, "I think I picked a pretty good hair do. It's so cute."

And then proceeded to tell me about the girl on Bones who has her "exact same hair do." Love this kid.

And while she was reading, I looked over and saw this:

Day 291: Hairbows

The other day, Megan blogged about a blog where Abby challenged herself to do 30 hairstyles in 30 days. This is a cute, creative way to make sure you get up and get ready!! haha my lazy, college self would not be motivated enough to do this...so, I checked out Abby's hair-do's. CUTE. Well, today, Emma and I decided to try out one on her. We decided to try out the hairbow a la Lady Gaga. Click the link for instructions on how to hairbow yourself.  It looks like it's going to be really complicated, but I call shenanigans. This bow was so easy! And it's ADORABLE. I finished Emma's and screamed in excitement. Then she looked in the mirror and screamed in excitement. So, without further ado, The Hairbow:

LOVE IT!! It also looks cute over to the side a little bit. And now Emma is trying to do it on my hair. :)

Day 290: 1904

I usually don't do outfit pictures, but today I wore a special dress to church. This was the dress I graduated high school in two years ago, so I put it on and instantly went back to graduation. But it also reminds me of a dress my favorite American Girl doll would have worn because of all the pretty ruffles and the high collar. Samantha always had the prettiest dresses. And she loved to read just like me! So, today I channeled my inner Samantha Parkington circa 1904, complete with a ribbon in my hair (I seriously need to be her for Halloween one year...)

Samantha's Way:

Sarah's Way:

We also had our College Lake Day today. It was so much fun! I love tubing with great friends! Brice tried to ski for the first time, so I took some videos of that. He got up on the last try for just a little bit. He did good!

Day 289: Jealous

Okay, so I have a friend who is galavanting around Europe right now. I'm already jealous.

THEN. I'm looking at facebook a few weeks ago, and see her pictures from the Harry Potter premiere. IN LONDON. and she's standing BY THE RED CARPET THAT THE STARS ARE WALKING DOWN. I'm even more jealous.

THEN. I keep looking, and she's got pictures WITH Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. UGGGH. Cue even more jealousy.

I know, right?

It gets even better. I then see a post on facebook that made me rush to my local CVS.

Check this out.

Yes, that's my friend, Ciera, in PEOPLE MAGAZINE. Super jealousy kicks in.

Now, I know I've met lots of famous people before, but it's never gotten me into People. This is my new goal in life.

also, please excuse my excessive use of caps lock tonight. i felt a post of this nature warranted the use of it.

Day 288: Birthday

Tucker turned 14 today! So tonight we had a little party with some of his friends. We went and ate pizza (and saw a lady with a beard. no lie) and then we went bowling. It was fun!

 His cake!
He put on his serious face to open presents.
 NuWay shirt!
New Converse. He was moving his hands too fast in all of these, so they're all a little blurred...
Video Camera! This thing is SO tiny.
 iTunes card!
 Brice bowling.
 All the boys.
The cake fell over on the way to the bowling alley. :(
 All the bowlers
Daddy, Joshua, and Tucker all wore the same shirt!
Mama's camera vs. Tucker's new camera...I think Mama's wins.

Day 287: Geocache.

Our family goes Geocaching. For those who don't know, it's like a scavenger hunt. There's a huge website with a database of all the coordinates and clues for the caches in your area. And then you pick a name (like we're "MonkeyManiacs" because when we leave a trinket, we leave a Monkey in a Barrel) so that when you log your find, that's what you identify yourself as. Sometimes, it's just a log where you write your name and the date. But other times, it's a box with little toys inside, like a Hot Wheels car, bouncy ball, etc. That's when we leave our monkey, because if you leave a toy, you can take a toy. So, tonight, we decided to go geocaching for a bit. It was fun....until it started getting dark and we needed to go down a trail. Not okay.

Day 286: Delish.

Emma got a little candy cupcake mold set the other day. So today we got out our chocolate and peanut butter chips and got to work! These babies turned out wonderfully! We did make a little mess while we melted down the chocolate and peanut butter chips. But after they hardened back up, they were much easier to work with.

Are these not the most precious things you've ever seen?!? And they taste AMAZING.

Day 285: Chinchillin'

I bought Brice and me these awesome shirts the other day. I saw them online, and immediately ordered them. They're perfect for us. And yes, I bought us the same shirt. No, we will not wear them at the same time...unless it happens by coincidence.

Perfect.
