Day 236: Delish

Emma and I made our ice cream cone cupcakes today! They were yum-o!

Ready to go in the oven. If you make them, I don't suggest you fill them as full as I did...

hot out of the oven. Some of them ran over the sides because I filled them too full :(

Beautiful!

Emma helped with the sprinkles! She wanted to help with more, but the icing made a huge and total mess...

Eli's one condition for him to be able to eat one is that he must let me take a picture of him...haha

Emma was ready to dig into our delicious creations!

The inside of the cupcake cone

The perfect swirl.

Next time I make them, I'll make sure not to fill them quite as full so they don't run over the side. And I'll make sure to let them cool all the way so the icing doesn't melt...and maybe try a different type of icing.

Note to self: Get an icing bag decorator thing with changeable tips to make the icing a lot less messy.

Day 235: Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Looks delicious, right? I know. Emma and I are making them tomorrow. I found this on Pinterest (aka: My new sickness...I mean, obsession). Emma desperately wanted to bake something, so this is what we decided to make. We went and got all our supplies from Kroger, then came home and started getting ready to make them when her mom got off work early. So, we had to wait until tomorrow...but I am SO looking forward to taste testing :)

Day 234: Something Borrowed

I finally got to see Something Borrowed! Brice and I went after church today. I loved it! Of course, the book was better, but I liked the movie a whole lot!

Then, I went to Lorin's house. Her brother, Austin, is leaving Wednesday to go to Italy for a month or so, and they were having a little get together. So, I went and hung out by the pool for a little bit.

 Me, Austin, and Lorin

Austin made a new friend. you can barely see the frog on the bottom of his t-shirt

Day 233: Home Night.

Today I went to a bridal shower for my friend Kristen, who is getting married in July! We have this joke that I'm going to be hers and Kevin's flower girl...I still need to find my dress...Anyways, it was tons of fun. We played fun games and ate delicious food :)

Then I went to DSW and got two new pairs of shoes! :)

I have this exact pair in a light blue and yellow. I LOVE them! And the black ones were on sale, so naturally, I had to buy them!

I wanted some super cute wedges, and I hit the nail on the head with these! They're precious. And please excuse my lovely backdrop...I had already turned all the lights in my room off so I needed to be by the lamp...

Day 231: Date Night

Brice and I had date night tonight. We went to eat at El Azteca, and then went to see the Hangover Part II. It was hilarious! I couldn't even imagine all that nonsense happening to me. Ridiculous.

Day 230: Beauty Shop

Emma and I played Beauty Shop today, and I gave her some stylish hairdos. We like to play this game. In fact, I believe we'll be doing it again tomorrow :)

We liked this one:

She wouldn't be still long enough for me to get a picture of the back of this one, but I like the one from the side.

Then I practiced my fishtail braid. She liked this the best.

After work, I went to our college Bible Study. After that, I went to Brice's, unlocked and opened the door and saw this:

I wasn't expecting it...and it made me laugh :)

Day 229: Idol Spoiler

Idol finale was tonight! And it was amazing! I was pulling for my fellow Georgia girl, Lauren. But honestly, I would have been happy either way. Scotty is so cute with his all-American, boyish charm. He's grown on my as the season has gone by, but Lauren was my pick from the beginning. I'm happy for Scotty though. And I still think they'll both go really far. I can't wait to see what comes of them.

ps...they would make a really cute couple :)

pps...I was really excited to see Gladys Knight. I love her.

Day 228: Giveaway Entries

I'm entering several giveaways, and I wanted to share them all with you! :)

First up is Amy. She's doing a giveaway/service project. I think this is a fabulous idea! For every entry, she'll donate a canned good. And for hers, you have a total of 11 possible entries. So if a bunch of people enter, that's a lot of cans! And she's giving away surprises in this cute little box:

Next up, Melanie! She's doing a Mary Kay giveaway. And she's giving away some fun eyeshadow colors that I would LOVE to have!

Neely is also doing a giveaway! She's giving away a blog design package from Munchkinland Designs. I would LOVE a blog make-over! I'm constantly changing my blog layout because I can't find one that I love. So, if I won this, it would be wonderful!

Kit is doing a giveaway for her blogiversary! She's giving away one of these precious bows from Janelle Haskin:

And.....lastly, Ashley is giving away a shop credit to Crystelle Chic and a zipper pouch from Alexandra Rose!

Sorry for the giveaway overload, but I need my extra entries! I'm sure you understand :)

Day 227: Rant.

I finished reading Something Borrowed and started reading Something Blue last night. So, I decided to go see the movie today. There was one at 11:50 am, which was perfect because it would be over before the kids got  out of school at 3. So, I drove my 30 minutes to Macon, got there at 11:35, and walk up to the ticket window. Me and ticket guy (furthermore known as TG) had a conversation that went like this:

Me: One for Something Borrowed.
TG: Sorry, we're not showing that one today.
Me: The website says you are at 11:50.
TG: I know. But they're putting in new projectors in that theater, so we're not. We'll be showing it tomorrow though.

AAAAAHHHH! I was so mad! I had driven 30 minutes to see this movie TODAY because I can't tomorrow! The kids get out of school tomorrow, so this was the PERFECT time to see this movie. So, then I was stuck in Macon for 3 hours with nothing to do because gas is too dang expensive for me to drive back home! I was SO angry. I seriously wanted to cry...and I almost did. So, now, I have to try and sweet talk the boy into going with me one night...which I'm sure he will love...

Day 226: Water for Elephants

Mama and I just got home from this movie. I read the book in 4 hours. Not four consecutive hours, but the time I spent reading it added up to four hours during a 24 hour period of time. And it's 426 pages...

The movie was good, but the book was better. So, I would recommend reading the book first, then going to see the movie.

If you've already seen the movie/read the book, leave a comment or email me and let me know what you think! I'd love to talk about it!

And, after I post this, I'm going to read the last few chapters of Something Borrowed so I can go see the movie this week some time! It's REALLY good, and I can't wait to immediately pick up Something Blue and start reading it when I'm finished.

Day 225: Hotlanta

Brice and I went to Atlanta today to go to the World of Coca-Cola! It was so much fun, but soooooo hot outside!

The giant Coke bottle over the entrance

The bottling process is pretty neat. And you get to see it in action. Here's several pictures from that:

Of course, we had to get our picture taken with the polar bear. And no, we did not intentionally wear matching shirts...

This is an old Coke delivery truck. I thought it looked pretty cool. Daddy took a real cool shot of this truck the last time we were here...I'll have to see if I can find it and share it with you guys.

The pretty coke bottles in the window

I want this in my house:

I also want a Coke giraffe:

The taste testing room! They have different flavor Cokes from all over the world. Some are good, Some are downright naaaasty. Like the Beverly. If you ever go to Italy, don't drink the Beverly. It's disgusting.

This was a really high-tech coke dispenser. It had a touch screen and you could pick all the different flavors of drinks. It was kind of complicated.

As you left, you got to take a Coke that had been bottled that day, most likely in the bottling process you watched happen.

I know this is kind of hard to see, but I got a cute ring that looks like it's made of a Coke bottle. It's not really an old bottle, but it sure looks like one!

Then we went to eat at Ted's Montana Grill. Brice had never been, and it was amazing, as usual.

Brice wanted to take the bison home and hang it in his apartment.

B got this HUGE burger...

and he couldn't figure out how he was going to eat it...

but he finished it all, and might have felt a little sick afterwards...

I was so excited! I can't wait to go use these coupons!
