Day 175: Unique

I applied for a scholarship today that most people my age wouldn't qualify for. I applied for a knitters and crocheters scholarship. I had to submit pictures of my latest projects, and here they are:

 He was being a goober.

He kept trying to make funny faces.

I love this hat.

Day 174: Applied

This morning, this folder contained my application for the School of Education at Macon State. However, I am no longer in possession of this application because it has been submitted! Yayyyy! So, keep your fingers crossed, friends. Hopefully, I'll be accepted.

As I was sitting here typing this post, I looked over, and there was a giant opossum creeping across the back patio! A few seconds later, I heard something clang outside. I went and peeked out the kitchen door, and it was the opossum eating the cat food on the back step! So, naturally, I went and took some pictures.

 He was just eating away

Then he'd stop and look at me, then go right back to eating.

 checkin' for more food

He was huge! ...well, to me anyways.

Day 173: Stuck

My planner helps keep me organized. And I've created this new system. I have these sticky notes that have different designs on the ends of them. So each class has a different design. Well, when I have an assignment due, I write it on a sticky note and put it on the day it's due. That way, if the due date gets moved, I just pick up my sticky note and move it over. That way, I don't have all these little scratches from where I've marked out and made my planner messy. It's wonderful! I'd be lost without it!

Day 172: Farmville English Countryside

Welcome to Farmville English Countryside! Generally, I wouldn't blog this much about Farmville, but I feel the need to share this cheesy man with you. Every time you switch from your farm in America to your new farm in England, you have to fly in your airship. and this man cracks me up!

Day 171: Bead for Life

Check out this adorable necklace!

It was made by women in Africa. They roll up pieces of paper to make the beads. Then they shellac them to make sure they don't come apart.

This is probably one of my favorite pieces of jewelry I've ever owned. Go check out Bead for Life's website here and help support their cause!

Day 170: Car Show

Today Brice had his Mustang in the car show at the Cherry Blossom Festival. So we were out there for most of the day. It was pretty sunny and hot for most of the day. Then all of a sudden, around 3 pm, it started POURING. Like, the bottom fell out. It was ridiculous. So we hurried back to the house just in time for the tornado sirens to go off as soon as we got there. Cue the panicking. I HATE bad weather. It was even worse knowing I was responsible for someone else's house knowing that if anything happened, I had to call and say, "Hey, I hope you're having a wonderful vacation, oh by the way, your house blew away in the tornado." But luckily, all was okay. No one was blown away.

Day 169: Sweet Notes

Emma left me the cutest note on her bedroom door today. I'm staying in her room while they're on vacation, and as I was unloading all my stuff, I noticed a note addressed to me taped to the door. It was so sweet! If you can't read it, you can click on it and make it bigger.

love it!

Day 168: Packing 101

I'm house-sitting for the next week, so tonight I did all my packing. I over pack. Don't judge me.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Day 167: Cheat Sheets

We get cheat sheets for our Calculus 3 class, so for today's test, we got to use two full sheets front and back. Thankfully, these sheets have all my useful formulas!

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Day 166: Dry Lab

Tonight we had a dry lab where we analyzed all our data and didn't do an actual experiment, so we didn't have to wear these ugly guys:

Thank goodness! They're not the most attractive accessory.

Day 165:El Azteca

Tonight we went to El Azteca...this was a boring day...sorry...

Sunday, March 20, 2011

Day 164: Lazy Sunday

I didn't take an actual picture today. But I'll share with you one of my favorite pictures ever. Seriously. This is my background on my computer. And I don't know why I love it so much...I just do.

Day 163: Money

Today has been spent, so far, filling out scholarship applications. I highly dislike this activity. Especially since I am having to write essays. I am all spread out on the kitchen table.

 All my papers

I LOVE the smell of honeysuckle! This candle is keeping me motivated.

Day 162: Bowling

Today I at lunch with several of my friend's from high school. It was so much fun catching up with them! I've missed them so much! And hopefully a trip to Athens to visit them will be organized soon...

Then tonight, we went bowling with a different group of friends from high school. I love catching up with everyone!

 Abigail, Heather, and Me

If only you knew how many pictures we had to take before he would cooperate...

Day 161: Cherry Blossoms

The Cherry Blossom trees are blooming! And they are so pretty! I understand looking at them as you drive past, but the other day, I was stuck behind some people from out of town who were clearly here just for the trees because every time we'd come up on a Cherry Blossom, they'd start going 5 miles an hour! It was ridiculous!

Day 160: Nuns

Today is my friend Beth's half-birthday. Now, normally I don't celebrate half-birthdays, but back in February, I found Beth THE PERFECT birthday card. Problem is, her birthday is in September. Well, I bought the card anyway, for fear of not being able to find it come September. However, I then became afraid that I would lose said card. And it occurred to me that her half-birthday was quickly approaching, and I solved my problem by giving it to her now. See, Beth and I have this thing with Nuns. So, Perfect Birthday card:

Day 159: Boring

Today was a rather uneventful, rainy day. So, I didn't take a picture today. But here, for your enjoyment, is a blast from the past.

Leslie, Mallory, and I playing with our dolls in the backyard pool

 Thanksgiving Feast at school

After my bike wreck in third grade

Leslie, Mal, Tucker and me on Halloween

Leslie and I at Babyland with our Cabbage Patch dolls

Day 158: 3.14

I got our tickets to the Tenth Avenue North/Third Day/Trevor Morgan concert! Wow...that's a lot of bands starting with T...anyways, I am so excited! And we have pretty awesome seats too. Not too far away, and on an aisle for easy access! I can't wait!

Also, today is Pi Day! So, Happy Pi Day!

Day 157: Daylight Savings

I don't like losing an hour of sleep. It stinks. And I tried to take a nap today while I was waiting on Brice to get back from his trip, but his neighbors were really loud outside. I got like an hour of sleep, but then I couldn't go back to sleep any longer. But not too long after I woke up, Brice got home! And I'm extremely glad! I missed him.

When he got home, we watched the series finale of Greek. It came on last Monday, but he was gone, and he wanted me to wait for him so we could watch it together. It was both happy and sad. Happy because it ended with everyone happy and Casey and Cappie were together. But it was sad because it's the end, and all the cast was crying, which made me tear up.

Day 156: Stevens Layne

They have new ketchup at Chick-fil-A. It's strange. I'm not too sure how I feel about it.

You can dip it or squeeze it.

Lorin made Paaaaatrick climb up there and fix the wire. Please excuse my crazy face. I wasn't aware I was in the picture.

Lorin and I went to see our old drama teacher's band at the Cox Capitol Theater tonight! They were really good!

Not the best quality, but the light wasn't good.

Us with Whitney and Molly

Then we went to Steak 'n' Shake and caught up with some old friends from high school. Overall, it was a great night!

Friday, March 11, 2011

Day 155: TGIF

Mama, Jessica, and I went to see Beastly at the movies tonight! It was good. And one of the characters is really funny. Girls, you should go see this movie, but it's kind of a chick flick/love story, so make it a girls night!

And I don't normally like Vanessa Hudgens, but I actually didn't mind her in this movie.

And it's Lorin's birthday. Happy Birthday, Lor!

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Day 154: TBBT

New episode of Big Bang tonight! It was hysterical. Sheldon couldn't figure out how Howard was doing a magic trick. So, he ran all these extensive tests to figure it out, but he still couldn't. Go watch it.

Jim Parsons is one of my favorite actors ever! LOVE him!

Day 153: Raising Hope

I've been catching up on some tv shows that I've missed lately on hulu today. My main focus is Raising Hope. This show is hysterical. I LOVE it! And I had three episodes waiting in my queue when I got home today.

If you haven't checked this show out yet, I highly recommend it.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Day 152: 1 or 2

I had a most unfortunate trip to the eye doctor this morning. I hate the eye doctor. Especially when they do the thing where they flip the different lenses while you're reading and you have to tell them which is better: "1 or 2? 3 or 4? 5 or 6?" No. They all look the same.

Then I was most fortunate to rock these shades all day while running various errands around Macon waiting for my eyes to un-dilate.

Day 151: Home

We journeyed home today. It was long. But fun. And I'm definitely glad to be here. Now, I'm ready for my wonderful boyfriend to be back home. But he won't be here until Saturday... :(

A while back, I started watching The O.C. Yes, I know this show is a few years old, but hey. I like to be able to watch the whole season at one time. There are four seasons of this particular show. I watched seasons 1-3 and a couple of episodes of season four during fall 2010. Why I stopped only a couple of episodes into the last season? I don't know. But tonight I began to complete it. Oh how I have missed the theme song (Californiaaaaaaaa here we cooooommmeeee); quirky, sarcastic remarks (Seth); and the best phrase ever (Cohennnnn).

This is from one of the earlier seasons. Season four is sans Mischa Barton.

Day 150: Mustang Sally

We went to the pier today and had some delicious ice cream.

The we saw this cool car.

And had dinner at the ever-so-wonderful Mullet Bay.

I had some delicious clam strips.

Day 149: Island Time

Today, we started our adventure eating lunch at Brogen's at the pier. Delicious. Then we wandered around the pier and beach taking pictures. Then we spent some time doing retail therapy. We all bought lots of cute clothes. Then we ate at the Crab Trap for dinner. Another delicious meal. Now, we're just chillin' watching Juno. I love this movie. Paulie Bleeker is boss.

 I love this lighthouse.

The goober in her hat

And lastly, Leslie is doing a giveaway! Go check it out! She's giving away this adorable Kate Spade ring.
