Life Lately

I still have a couple of wedding posts left to write, but school got busy again and I wasn't able to finish them. But that won't be a problem anymore because I turned in my last college assignment yesterday! So now all I have to do is wait for graduation!

I thought I'd do a photo dump to catch up on what's been happening.

Mitchel and I ended up being twins during student teaching one day.

And we got our picture taken with our college's new mascot.

I went to Bearstock, a local music festival, and saw my old drama teacher perform.

We went to several baseball games to see my students play.

Blake had a fancy nancy tea party birthday. I made her that little top hat on a head band and it turned out precious on her!

I had my last day of student teaching. It was so sweet, and they all didn't want me to leave.

But then I went to see them at the prom, and they all got excited that I was there.
I'm planning on surprising them with a visit tomorrow since tomorrow will be the seniors last day.

I'm am so grateful that life is about to slow down a little bit. This last semester was fun, but super busy. Now I just have to find a job! I had a couple of interviews last week, so keep your fingers crossed for me!

Guestbook

For our guestbook, we used Shutterfly to create a book of our engagement pictures. Then we had our guests sign the book!

Little Touches

There were lots of little crafts we had to do to make the wedding complete!

We had to cut out all the circles from scrapbook paper. These were my practice circles.

We had this handy circle cutter a friend of ours loaned us. It helped a lot.

We used these five materials for everything. They were the strips for the circles, the material under the centerpieces, bows around the photobooth mason jars.
Love love love these materials!

We made these cute little frames for the ends of the aisles our parents sat on. They're pictures of us from when we were little.

We made these precious C frames for the reception doors.

This banner, I made to hang on one of the reception walls. It's all one piece, but I couldn't get a good picture of the whole thing.

I loved making all these little personal touches to our special day!

Moss Letters

The moss letters we made turned out so good!

We got the wooden letters from Michaels. And then we got a roll of artificial moss, which I think we got at Hobby Lobby.

We took spray adhesive and attached our letters to the sheets of moss.

Then I cut around the letters, leaving a little extra moss around the edges.
After I cut them, I used the hot glue gun to wrap the extra moss around the edges of the letters.

Lastly, I took some gray sheer ribbon and attached it so we could hang the letters
This one went in the reception hall.

These two were on the outside of the chapel doors.

LOVE them!!

Little Signs

I made several little signs to put around the church and reception.

We made little chalkboards to put on the cake table asking people to wait on us before grabbing a cupcake or cookie.

I made this sign for our guest book table. We got the little chalkboard sign at Michael's in the Bride section.

This one I painted for the photobooth.
I know I already shared it, but I figured I'd add a close up!

This one isn't really a sign, but it's what I painted for Brice and gave him the day of our wedding.
Of course, it was pinterest-inspired. But I made it the colors of our bedspread so we can hang it in our room.

Silver Bells

Instead of doing bubbles or birdseed, we decided to have our guests ring bells as we left the reception.

Tucker helped us get all the bells together and counted.

All the tags for the bells punched and ready to go.

rice thought he would be funny and put the dots on my phone....I didn't find it humorous.

Then we tied all the tags on with green and white ribbons.

I drew one of the tags and got it just perfect.
Then we scanned it in the computer and made a whole sheet of tags and printed them.
We cut them to size and got busy punching and tying.

We have tons of bells left over. So I'll probably be using them when I wrap Christmas gifts next year. Bells for everyone! :)

Grab a prop, and Strike a pose!

One of my favorite projects was our photobooth!

We had been to a wedding show where I saw one, and became obsessed. But they were really expensive.

So my sweet Daddy got online, found photobooth software, and got to work making me one!

The cute sign I made that led you in!

We had the camera set up with a monitor where you could see what your picture would look like.

This was our backdrop. The sign says Say Cheese, but you couldn't see it in the picture. You could just see the streamers hanging. It was mainly for decoration.
We also had a button you pushed to start taking your pictures.

After you took your pictures, it printed two strips on a 4x6 photo. So we had a table where you cut the strips apart, took one, and left one for us.
The sign says:
Now that you're finished taking pictures,
Look on the table and pick up the scissors.
Cut your pictures straight down the middle,
then leave one for us so we can giggle!

We made all the props out of scrapbook paper and dowels.
I painted the sign, which says Grab a Prop and Strike a Pose.

The props were set out in these mason jars
Of course, we had to have mustaches and pipes.

We had silly glasses.

A crown and lips.

cute cute ties and bowties.

And Mr., Mrs., and Wedding date glasses.

We LOVED getting home and looking at all the precious and funny pictures our guests had taken!
The photo booth was definitely a hit!

I'm so thankful my sweet Daddy made my photobooth dreams come true!
